About The Event
Often people are afraid of grief, their own or someone else's and generally, western culture does not have a place for it. In fleeing from our many griefs small and large we miss something essential in what it is to live a full life, the wild beauty of what it is to be alive in this world, and what it is to love.
This 5 day workshop will give paticipants an opportunity to explore grief in a safe space, supported by facilitators and the Heartshore Herd. All are welcome and no previous dance or experience with horses required. Horse Dance can be an extremely enlightening and profound experience. If you are interested in the healing ability of horses, we invite you to join us.
You can find out more in our blog, The Sacred Art of the Horse Dance. Also in our latest blog post, Dawn Oakly-Smith and Dawn Morgan reflect on grief - an emotion often repressed in western culture, but which if acknowledged can be transformative and truly healing; The Alchemy of Grief.
